Ms Morris 6th Grade

My teaching career began in Southern California in 2002.  I've been working in Centralia for the last 10 years at Oakview and Fords Prairie.  I truly love being a teacher.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from California Lutheran University, and two Master’s degrees in Curriculum & Instruction and Teaching 21st-Century Learners from University of Massachusetts Global.

My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels welcome, cared for, and excited to learn. I believe that getting to know my students and building strong relationships with them and their family is one of the most important parts of teaching.

I want every student to know that they are valued, that their ideas matter, and that they are capable of great things. One of my favorite parts of teaching sixth grade is watching students grow in confidence and discover what they can do while we are at camp Cispus.

I am the principal cellist for the Pacific Northwest Chamber Orchestra, and I am also a business owner. In my spare time, I can be found in the AKC confirmation show ring with one of my 10+ dogs.  I own and or show Chihuahua, Pugs, Bulldog, Portuguese Water Dog, and Newfoundlands.
