Mrs. Nicole Terry
Meet Mrs. Nicole Terry
Welcome! I’m Mrs. Nicole Terry, and if there’s one thing you should know, it’s that I love what I do. For the past 9 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students in 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade at Fords Prairie. Every year brings new personalities, new challenges, and plenty of reasons to laugh—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
A Little About Me
I’m a lifelong Washingtonian and proud of it! I’ve been married to my husband, Jeff, for 26 years—he’s an electrical contractor, so between the two of us, we keep both minds and lights switched on.
We have three amazing kids:
-
Brock (25), an electrician
-
Sawyer (21), a student at Eastern Washington University
-
Alyson (17), a high school student
My own journey started at Rochester High School, continued through Centralia College, and eventually led me to earn my teaching degree from Western Governors University. It’s been quite the path—and one that helps me connect with students as they build their own.
When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me enjoying a few favorites:
-
📚 Getting lost in The Hunger Games
-
🏈 Cheering on the Seattle Seahawks
-
🍳 Starting the day with bacon and eggs
-
☕ Fueling everything with a good cup of coffee
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe every student brings something valuable to the table—sometimes it just takes the right moment (or the right teacher!) to help it shine. My classroom is a place where curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are part of the process, and growth is always the goal.
I work hard to build strong connections with students and families because learning works best when we’re all on the same team.
Thanks for stopping by—I'm glad you're here!
